DBE Membership

By joining DBE at such an affordable cost, you do not have to worry about being discriminated in the workplace any longer. You will not only have all the support you need but also all the protection you need in the workplace. Not only when you believe you may be the victim of discrimination, but any other workplace issue. For example, grievances, disciplinary process, sickness monitoring etc. Subject to the DBE Advocacy and Advice Service terms of reference, DBE will represent you in the workplace. It simply does not make sense to do it by yourself, there is strength in numbers; a community of people who are Different But Equal.

DBE can do it all, PROMOTE, SUPPORT and PROTECT. It’s that simple, people from discriminated groups supporting and advising people from discriminated groups.  You don’t need to explain or justify discrimination anymore; that half of the job is done.

As if that was not enough, when you join DBE you will be given the option to join “Equal Justice” at not extra cost. Yes it’s free!

Please click on the Union tab to read about how joining will benefit you.

ADVICE – Not all work place disputes and issues will result in a formal process being instigated. However, this invariably always depends on the the actions you take immediately.  That is when the advice line service will benefit you the most; what should you do when you have concerns in the workplace? How best to respond to complaints about you? Or you may just want to talk about what happening to you.

DBE ADVICE SERVICE will be the calming voice, the listening ear that will really make a difference. It is a confidential service so you can speak to us in confidence.

DBE will also seek to provide its members with additional benefits, this will be part of a drive to continually improve the service we provide to you.  We will negotiate deals on your behalf that can save you £££s a year on your lifestyle purchases.
